Fresh air and hard work makes everything taste better.
My work in the woods was always going out to cut firewood with my dad. In the 70's and 80's he had a $10 a year permit to cut any hardwood from Kimberly Clark's several thousand acres near us around Signal Mountain (we called it Signal Point growing up). The ridge and valley system there had spots where the creeks cut through the ridges, making perfect dam sites. Several 40 acre plus lakes are in that area, some with damns less than 40 feet wide. Beautiful country. Built some trail on the Pinhoti extension in Alabama near the Georgia line some years back, that was work. Playing in the woods, I love that.
