I personally know fans (friends) who would take Kiffin right now over DeBoer or anyone out there. One thing all the pole have in common... they are the more casual of fans. They wear the gear, the watch most of the games, they know the name of the QB. That's about as deep as it goes, other than their opinions are strong. Oh, and from the sample size there is another common thread... they prefer Eli over Stewart. Which is funny to me since I don't think any of them every tune into the radio call these days for football or basketball.

Ha! I do too. I'm habitually asking them if they followed Lane when he was at South Florida when he left Bama. I'm thinking 8 out of 10 have, and will say yes but not correct me.
It can be a pain in the ass with YTTY at times, but I sync every basketball game when he's on the call. Will occasionally do it for football, but not often. Maybe twice a season or so.
He has the taste of someone who has been in the woods most of his adult life and decided TN was paradise. The shine took his taste buds as well as any reasoning.

You know thats right.
Few will ever know whats its like to go to work in the woods. Eat vienna sausage and soda crackers for lunch. Sitting in ur truck. Listening to am radio at lunch.
True joy.
HELL NO!!! Now, had he handled himself better during his tenure with Saban and not checked out on us with some of the shittiest play calling I had ever seen by him against Washington in the playoffs, he likely wouldāve been the first person Byrne called when Saban retired.
The program would crash. I have no doubt. The lack of support, and those in the building who DO NOT want him in the building much less on campus, would make the football team and success untenable.
