šŸ’¬ Would you pay $86 to attend another SEC school's "Fund raising" program?

Context: I've been to a few of these starting back when Holtz was their HC. I wasn't the food or drinks that time; I wanted to see him speak in person. (It was like going to the "Hot Stove Banquet" annually. It's not about the food, it's about the speakers...this year, not so much.

One, it's Home Town BBQ. It's pretty good...good enough I normally order two. That's roughly $16....add a side or three and I've spent $25 on a lunch/dinner there a few times.

Now, open bar? Granted, I'm not drinking as much but if I wanted to get to $50 wouldn't take much time.

The venue. That's the 'ticket' right there. Just a beautiful location!

We took wedding pictures on the Cotton Dock. Great little spot.

I would for good food, decent speaker, and open bar. Either of the 3 could be worth the price.

I attended Saban’s clinic for years after I got out of coaching. $60 for 2 1/2 days, cold beer , chalk talk with the staff, some of the absolute legends of coaching speaking, outstanding food and a couple of practices.

Their DPP is speaking. Out of the three (food, drink, speaker) he's #3 on the list: but still very intriguing to me in this sense. It goes back to something I pointed to a few years ago about Beamer.

When Spurrier was signing guys like Lattimore, it wasn't so much SOS as it was Shane Beamer, He was the 'guy' when it comes to recruiting on that staff. We all know that right now UofSC isn't signing a #1 class. Top five? Doubt reigns true. But, they are doing fairly well for a school of that stature.

I'm looking at a few boxes here and all of 'em are checked.

Beamer doing a great job in Columbia. Almost snaked us last year at home, but he will pull one out against a Georgia or a team like us on a Saturday soon.

I attended the 3 years Coach Curry was at Bama and loved the clinic. An extra bonus was two free tickets to game in Tuscaloosa.
