Women's World Cup - Go USA!

Wynalda thinks we're staying with a 4-4-2, but the midfield is a diamond...

China is solid defensively; I think they can capitalize more with a 4-3-3. I'd like to see Abby and Alex get a couple by the 60th minute and then let Press and Laroux come in. Brian seems to be consensus to replace Holiday. Not a bad idea at all.

Really good first half, just no goals. Rodriguez played great...outside the 18. Lots and lots of pressure. Why did Ellis feel the need to take the foot off the pedal after the 70th minute? Abby got five minutes, and for the second consecutive game, Laroux didn't play. Hmm...

It's a really good thing that not only did Germany get completely worn out today but also that Holiday and Rapinoe will really have fresh legs for Tuesday night.

What! A! Game!

I like this English team. They've really improved since the last World Cup, but I want Japan to win tonight. Revenge! Revenge!

On a bit of a separate note...if you're watching tonight, the Netherlands has a girl playing named Merel van Dongen...plays for the Tide soccer team as well.

Donald Trump: "When did we beat Japan at anything?"
Today... Soccer.

Besides, falling back waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much in the last twenty of the first half, the only disappointment about tonight was that Abby didn't score. Still! The sixteen-year drought is over!
