FWIW, this is how the NCAA judges toughest opponents for each season. Now that the 2009 AP Preseason Top 25 is out, I thought I would apply it to those teams.
Sitting at the top of the W/L PoO list this year are FSU and Ok State. FSU's 2009 opponents were 101-55 in 2008 and 11 of the 12 had winning seasons in 2008. Ok State was a close second at 97-55 with 8 having winning seasons.
At the other end, PSU at 73-76/5 and Ole Miss at 74-75/4 were virtually dead even. But at the bottom of the list was Bama at 67-83/5.
