It just stands to question that his comment is not easily answered as it was worded. I know most folks will be respectful and will handle it accordingly, but it only takes one person to affect me, and with open sales it creates a higher percent opportunity with my kids being with me that I would come across something I don't want to deal with on a 95 degree day
I understand that. I also understand this question from the perspective of one that's been involved with the sports bar industry, twice, and having to deal with three sides--two fighters and police (a fourth if you considered ours.) And, one of those situations was a "turn" in clientele--lost my temper in that transition, sober.
The rarity of what's being mentioned here, to happen to one person, is part of my point.
As example. Alcohol related arrests at the Meadowlands averages around 20 per week out of an capacity crowd total of over 80K. These are Giants and Jets fans. It's also a NFL venue which differs, greatly, from the atmosphere we're talking about. Out of those 20 arrests how many do you suppose happen within the stadium? And, how man of those happen due to the alcohol sales within that stadium? Now we're getting into some small numbers.
I'm aware of studies mentioning rising violence numbers at events like games and the impact of alcohol. I'm of the opinion that rise is seen across the board alcohol or not.
(I've had just as many cokes spilled on me as beer at events which served both. Hrmm.)
