šŸˆ Will CKD ever win a national championship

In seriousness, I don't believe he'll win one without becoming a more physical team, especially on the O-line. His teams at UW were good., but also not the most physical. They didn't have to be playing in the PAC 12. I find all of the PAC 12 teams to be structured this way. Oregon is winning, but struggling with more physical teams in the Big 10. Wisconsin, Iowa, gave them problems and Indiana beat them in Eugene. Ohio State will skull drag them again.
I believe he's going to have to adjust his mindset for the SEC physicality moving forward before we can look at another NC.

DeBoer is a good coach but not great. He’s good for 9-3 & 10-2 seasons. He will always beat a team he shouldn’t but will also lose to a team he should beat. These next 2 games are crucial for his future at Alabama.

A ā€œgreatā€ Coach in the SEC could have a 8-4 to 10-2 record. Injuries, dealing with NIL and talent recruitment/retention - for the school they coach at and the competition - will determine future greatness.

I believe he will, maybe even make a run this year. He has won every place he’s been, but ā€œnot in the SECā€ the detractors will say. UA has the support, a capable team, and has done it before. I believe we lack only the intangibles and a difference maker at RB.

I'm now seeing/hearing some of our fanbase wanting kiffin to be our head coach if the imaginary scenario of Deboer leaving were to take place. Why? Why in the world would you want to bring that here? He's a good coach, but man..... just look at everywhere he's ever coached. He usually leaves that job less than amicably, and completely burns any bridge within that particular program. Raiders, Tennessee, USC, Alabama, FAU is seemingly the only place he's left on good times with in quite a while, and now with Ole Miss. Again, he's a good coach, but no.

Plus, it's likely never going to happen anyway. Let's just say he's at wherever and we have to look for another coach. He's never getting that offer.

It pains me to say, cause in a sense I sorta feel like I'm bad mouthing my own family... but the truth is a significant portion of Alabama fans are not very bright. And that's the nice way of putting it.

As for the 2nd bolded statement, as long as the current leadership structure is in place at UA, you can remove likely. It ain't happening.

Well, there’s not another word for ā€œneverā€ that I can think of. Again, under this current leadership/admin. Ain’t. Happening.

Re: PSU and DeBoer, until I see social media graphics with him photoshopped wearing a Penn State hoodie, I refuse to acknowledge it.

Are u really?

Where there smoke their fire ... sometimes it just fog.

There's a greater chance I wake up a Vegan, denounce sports in general, other than synchronized swimming, and start a youtube channel where I sit around and play the tambourine 24/7 in a meadow.

For anyone worried, concerned, stressed, wondering, etc... about DeBoer looking for an out right now, or Sexton working things to get him out, I assure you, 100%, nothing like that is going on.

I think so. Probably just one (hopefully multiple). It should give us hope that a lot of our best players (Benard, Brooks, Cuevas, Pierre, etc..) are his guys. I do think he needs to clean up his staff though (new special teams coach, offensive line coach, RB coach, and most definitely get rid of Roach for D-Line). This should help with a lot of issues we see game to game. But the #2 recruiting class coming in, I'd say it'd be really hard for him not to obtain one. I would just like to see better development throughout the season. Last season, Alabama regressed hard after UGA. This season has somewhat been the same. Last two seasons, I don't think Alabama has played well in the months of November, minus the LSU game last year.

The man has an incredible record vs ranked opponents. Pete Carroll won like 80% of the time vs ranked opponents. DeBoer is 19-4 in ranked games. In his two losses (while at Alabama) vs ranked opponents (Oklahoma and TN), Alabama has had a combined five turnovers. The problem is consistency. It kind of has loomed over his career. He had a bad loss to an unranked Arizona State squad while at Washington. Then of course the bad losses here are to Vandy, OU, and Florida State. His teams are notorious for not capitalizing on momentum and putting teams away. Last week vs OU was a prime example of way too many opportunities blown to really put their foot down and take control of the game.
