There are a few things that caught my eye when reading this piece. First and foremost, horrible choice for title. Maybe it's just me (my professors would disagree.) I've always thought the content of a piece should go to support the title. Walsh suggests Bama needs to be creative but fails to say where or how?
Reading between the lines, perhaps.
It appears to me Walsh is throwing some shade in the direction of Rivals. If you recall, Walsh wrote for the Tuscaloosa News (a Rivals based site) as well as BOL (247Sports) but chose to use rankings from Scout? Yeah, the same Scout that's practically out of business. Yeah, the same Scout the majority of those who follow recruiting consider the worst rating and evaluating service available.
I have to give him a bit of a break. We've seen countless articles about Bama in Lousiana (and a good majority of this piece centers on that story.) Knowing he had to get some material out, it appears he just took a bit of a different take--on the title, alone.
