I remember JPW's first TD pass. Seems like it was late in the game after Croyle had sat down and JP was on cleanup duty.

I certainly am not knocking JPW. He was a great leader on the field, but he wasn't the greatest passer of all time. (Even though he owns the records)

I like Star's ability to create when the play breaks down.

McElroy. But, I think Star would be better at making plays when protection breaks down or the recievers are covered well.

I agree that AJ will be redshirted.

But, I hope we get another big play reciever, so that Julio doesn't get all the double teams.

Star is no slouch passer either. HS film i've watched of his shows he has the ability to place the ball pretty much where he want it with consistancy.
I'm hoping we get a 70/30 split or better on reps between Greg and Star this year. I'm sure greg gets the nod in the spring. And yeah AJ probly will be and should be redshirted.

I think its McElroy's to lose. Watching the sidelines McElroy was in on relaying alot of the play calling, and I think he knows the system better than any of our QBs. Star is going to compete for the spot for sure.

I have said all along that it will be McElroy's job to lose. I see Star as the true #2 with AJ sitting in at #3 and stairing a redshirt more than likely. Coach Saban wants someone to manage the game and not have to carry the load on his right arm.
