So went to McKinney, TX yesterday to walk around the square (see picture above of what it looks like) and stroll through some of the shops for Mothers Day. While we were walking, I noticed a young man, looked to be in his early 20's with an older man (assume it was his dad). Anyways, the young man had on a long sleeve shirt with an Auburn logo. I had on my State Traditions 13 hat (thanks for linking to these Terry a few years ago) and I gave him a "Roll Tide", he kept walking and you could hear the older man say, "Son, did you hear what he just said, did you hear what he just said", so I turned around to smile and he managed to get out a "War Eagle", to which I mustered a final "Roll Tide". My kids give me grief all the time for talking with almost every Alabama fan I see and giving Auburn/Tennessee fans Roll Tides all the time.
I do this almost every time I see an Auburn fan, I've had some great discussions with many of them through the years. There are quite a few Auburn and Alabama fans around the area, so it makes for some good fun away from home...
So that brings me to the questions...
Do you guys do similar if you don't live in the area or am I the only one?
Do you greet other Alabama fans with a Roll Tide when in other states?
