What's the deal at quarterback? If Justin Worley can't play, how capable are the backups?
There's one of two things going on here: either Justin Worley's bum shoulder he suffered late against Ole Miss is worse than Tennessee wants to let on, or there's a little bit of gamesmanship going on in trying to make Alabama spend some time on Nathan Peterman or Josh Dobbs, who are both better runners than Worley.
Worley has taken a beating this season. He's felt the brunt of 30 sacks and more than twice that in total hits. He dodged a serious injury against Georgia, and obviously his season ended in this game last season.
As for the other two, there's a reason Worley won the job midway through preseason practice. Peterman has looked overwhelmed in his two most significant instances of action: Georgia in September and that disaster at Florida last season. Dobbs finished last season and looked like a freshman that essentially was the fourth-string guy at the time.
Either way, I don't see any way he's in this game when the final whistle blows. Their line is in bad shape and he's beat up. It's only going to get worse.
