I think that at bat, got him ready to mentally attack Eckersly. EVERONE feared him. Not Gibson.

That video mentions he hadn't given up a HR since August. I think that WS was in the middle of October...so basically, he didn't give up a dinger for two months.

Just watched it again. I'm not a Dodgers fan but I loved Gibson. He was limping all over the place. I just couldn't believe it. He had atleast 3 foul offs. Lasorta was putting pressure on Eckersly with the stolen base. Gibson was protecting homeplate pretty well. They threw outside to bait him. He didn't take it. The rest is history.

I thought that inning got in the A's head. Of course they swept Boston ALCS so they were dull & cockey. Also, Hershiser was in his prime.

I'm still mad he left the Brave's. I know why he did. But I don't have to like it.

I think I've watched three, maybe four, Bama baseball games this season. I've listened to well over 20. I watched the football team last season, but listened to the radio coverage most of the time.

It's sort of weird when I think about it ... all this technology and I'm listening to a radio feed (on the Internet, but we'll set that aside.)
