Cable TV had just come around at that time. The ones I watched the most were the Braves and the Cubs (TBS and WGN)...so, it would be Dale Murphy. I sure did love baseball back then. Followed the box scores thru "The Sporting News" regularly.

I've told this.

I've watched ONE race in my life. It was in Tuscaloosa...a duplex I had when taking classes...saw him die that day in the wreck. First race I watched, last race I watched.

The tornado took that house out...but good lord. Brick, old wood floors...I had a Bose system (surround at its infancy) at that time and the floor would vibrate because of the woofers.

Man, what an era...when you turned up the TV to hear the intro to The Sopranos.

The infield for LA in those days...we're talking late 70's now, early 80's. Russell, Cey, Davey at second...geez. And then on 1st, Garvey. At the end of that infield they brought Fernando out.

Greatest series ever!!! I have watched the entire series 3 times. I just started season 1 again a couple weeks ago. I'm always amazed at some small gem that I pick up on that I never noticed previously. Love that show.

I could never make fun of people who got together and watched Lost, as one example. Because we did the same thing on Sunday nights...

Six Feet Under following was a good two hours a good TV.

I watched every time the Braves were on TV (before Turner put them on cable). The Cincinnati Reds, Oakland A’s, and Pittsburgh Pirates all had great players to watch. Roberto Clemente, Vida Blue, Rollie Fingers, Rose, Bench, Morgan. But being from Mobile, Hank Aaron was the man!
