⚾ 🥎 Who did you watch in baseball when you were 10 years old?

Dale Murphy #3
Is #3 the number of wives he had?

At 10 I was thinking of baseball or any type of games. Until I found out about football! All you have to do is look at my rick4bama. That tell you all you need to know.

@TerryP IDK about Murph.......but another Dale that I loved growing up was Earnhardt. He was the number three and he did have 3 wives. :ROFLMAO:
I've told this.

I've watched ONE race in my life. It was in Tuscaloosa...a duplex I had when taking classes...saw him die that day in the wreck. First race I watched, last race I watched.

The tornado took that house out...but good lord. Brick, old wood floors...I had a Bose system (surround at its infancy) at that time and the floor would vibrate because of the woofers.

Man, what an era...when you turned up the TV to hear the intro to The Sopranos.

He’ll! The early 80’s to me, was the best when it came to baseball. Dodgers, Yankees, Phillies, Pirates, Orioles, Reds, Red Sox.
The infield for LA in those days...we're talking late 70's now, early 80's. Russell, Cey, Davey at second...geez. And then on 1st, Garvey. At the end of that infield they brought Fernando out.

Greatest series ever!!! I have watched the entire series 3 times. I just started season 1 again a couple weeks ago. I'm always amazed at some small gem that I pick up on that I never noticed previously. Love that show.
I could never make fun of people who got together and watched Lost, as one example. Because we did the same thing on Sunday nights...

Six Feet Under following was a good two hours a good TV.

I watched every time the Braves were on TV (before Turner put them on cable). The Cincinnati Reds, Oakland A’s, and Pittsburgh Pirates all had great players to watch. Roberto Clemente, Vida Blue, Rollie Fingers, Rose, Bench, Morgan. But being from Mobile, Hank Aaron was the man!
