Personally, I see no reason to be worried at all as it pertains to Alabama. If this was 2005? Sure. But, Saban and the current UA admin have proven that they are out in front on stuff, and even when they aren't (in rare times), they adjust quickly and decisively. Now, are issues going to crop up that stem from NIL? Yes, but that's the same for everyone across the board, and 99% of the rest of them aren't as well equipped to handle those issues as Alabama is, IMO.

I would think we soon have a NIL Director and staff for the U of A. Each players transactions will have to pass the smell test.

Five years from now it will have a larger impact as recruits are more able to see what schools help them earn the most while in college. And the whole "pay for play" restrictions on boosters in most places is a laugh. All they have to do now is pick the kids who did the best each week and give them money to sign something, just take a selfie, or make an "appearance".

That's my whole point here. The staff have been ahead of this. There's a lot of angst about taxes right now. Why? There are people in place at UA helping these guys get the help they need.

So fans trust the football staff with things like academics, health, and the like but now have a lot of fear about this?

I don't get the paranoia.

I don't see how we won't have a further splitting of D1 at some point. This might hasten it.

We're seeing the birth of a farm system.

I'll stand by this point until I see differently. Where we saw money go to coaching staff's and facilities now we'll see that money split three ways. While it's not literally a zero sum game, it's a zero sum game.

Close enough to zero sum. There is only so much money to go around. Yes the amount will increase some, but not enough to make up for the split.
