Why does ESPN want Alabama to wear white helmets in the opening game? Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Coach Saban nixed that idea real quick. He said that Espn has their brand and UA has theirs (meaning the crimson helmets).

Wearing white helmets doesn't bother me, but as for what espn wants I could care less about what they want and why they want it. Idiots should keep doing what they know how to do and that is turning their sports stations into talk shows

i heard it's going to be white helmets with offsetting Crimson Pants and Houndstooth Leggings. Possibility of pink breast cancer gloves also.

Because both teams will be wearing contrasting home uniforms and the lack of contrast in the helmets is going to be a problem. Coach Bryant would put the receivers in white helmets. Coach Saban should do the same.

In last years games, NCSU wore red jerseys and red helmets and ut wore orange jerseys and white helmets, while Clemson wore orange jerseys and orange helmets and *u wore navy jerseys and white helmets.

Seems to me it is time to ask the non-SEC team to wear white helmets.

I don't know if CNS said what he was quoted as saying, but I agree with the statement made - "ESPN has their brand and BAMA has theirs" If a lesser team (and they all are) want to lower their standards by changing their "brand" let them do so.
