🏈 While flipping through a few sports channels, Cowherd's comment certainly amused...

I only caught the last few seconds of his comments on the SECCG, but I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit.

"Here's a team that's scoring forty points a game playing Alabama that's struggled against the two best teams they've played. For anyone to think Alabama is going to roll over them is foolish."

Hey, I certainly can understand the point he's trying to make. This game may not be one where Bama wins by two or three touchdowns. While I don't expect us to drop this one, I can see the possibility of doing so.

But, his comment on why?

Georgia with 7 scored against UofSC and 17 against UF is their two toughest games?

Certainly what seems to be an important nugget to leave out of the conversation.
I don't disagree with the point there are a lot of athletes on Georgia's team. I certain agree they have the capability of playing lights out.

However, there are two groups that I'm left wondering if they truly believe, or trying to talk themselves into believing.

Right now it is not just SEC fatigue, it is also "anybody but Bama" fatigue. Think about it, they are looking at 7 in a row for one conference BUT 3 of those would be for Bama. You not only have one conference owning the crystal football, but the biggest chunck of that belongs to one school. Personally, I smell fear.

I would like to think he would make the same argument for anyone foolish enough to think that UGA was going to roll over Bama. Actually you would not need any argument for anyone that foolish.

I had an LSU fan tell me today Georgia rolls because Alabama has only won one SECCG since 2000.

And yes, I knew UGA had only won two in the same period as well as knowing if we changed the year to 1999...

Cowherd has been unbearable to listen to this week. He gets super nit picky about everything Bama and its very insulting when he doesn't compare it to Georgia or Notre Dame's issues.

But in the in he still says Bama will beat Georgia.

I think he's reacting this way because everyone things Bama will beat Georgia easily. He just doesn't have to be such a douche bag about it.

i think these teams are evenly matched and it's a tossup. earlier in the year (with Deandrew White, Fowler, Hart) i would have estimated that we would have demolished uga. now, after some injuries and some good, old-fashioned late-in-the-season offensive stagnation i say it is a toss-up.

i think this is a game where Bama will need to worry more about scoring points than stopping the other team. uga will throw the ball effectively against alabama if their line can even halfway block Alabama... and we'll know that in the first 10 minutes of the game. if murray has time in the pocket, uga will score points and i don't mean field goals.

alabama has got to come out swinging and i think it wouldn't be unwise to take some risks... like Saban usually does in these type games. we may attempt to score several times in the first half throwing long passes from outside their 35 yd line. i think that would be a good idea.

i'm stoked for this game, yall. it's going to be a good one.

Cowherd has been unbearable to listen to this week.

I've noticed most of the national media has been that way. ND is the 8th wonder of the world all of a sudden. The bias is terrible. I listen to Mark Packard (sp?) and Eddie George on SiriusXM and usually enjoy the commentary. But since ND got to be #1 it makes me sick to hear the BS on how all of a sudden "everything is right in college football again."
Give me a break...... RTR.

Now that is foolish. That doesn't even warrant a "WTH does that have to do with anything?" reply.

Oh, I know.

He tried to tell me more recently Bama could be run on btwn the tackles. After I mentioned only two teams had made it past the 100 yard mark this season, and we'd both agreed Murray wasn't a running threat earlier, I asked him if he thought UGA's offensive line and running backs were as good as LSU's.

Like a top...he opens his mouth, I spin him.
