🏈 Which undefeated team will be the next to fall?

It would be interesting if we ended up with all one-loss teams at the end of it all .. Or like last year, one undefeated, and a one-loss team.

Fresno State and Northern Illinois are still undefeated as well .. wonder how they could factor into the discussion if they go all out.

Right now, if both remain undefeated, NIU is left out of the BCS picture for bowl games.

The Fiesta Bowl has the last choice of the at-large bids which would leave them taking two with one of those being Fresno State (ranked 16th this week which is the line of demarcation for non AQ schools.)

A guess: Baylor ends up with an at large invite and faces Fresno State in the Fiesta and that game ends up being uglier than Clemson's loss in the Orange two years ago.

Oh, now that I'm thinking about this...here's one that's a head scratcher.

In the computer portion of the BCS rankings they use the "PURE_ELO" section of Jeff Sagarin's rankings in the formula.

Right now, Sagarin has Northern Illinois ranked 51st in his normal rankings. In the PURE_ELO? #3.

It's no wonder there is A LOT of criticism on the computer portion of the BCS formula.

Miami and Baylor will fall next. Oregon and FSU will go undefeated like Alabama will and we'll see someone left out at the end of the year. Probably Oregon. My guess is Ohio State will go undefeated but won't even be in the picture for the National Championship.

1. Florida State. Quarterback Jameis Winston and the 'Noles hung 35 first-quarter points on NC State on Saturday. This weekend's game against No. 7 Miami will be billed as a test, but Vegas disagrees, installing Florida State as a three-touchdown favorite. After the 'Canes, coach Jimbo Fisher's team will play Wake Forest (4-4), Syracuse (3-4), Idaho (1-7) and injury-ravaged Florida (4-3) to close out the regular season. Then it's presumably on to the ACC title game, most likely against Miami or Virginia Tech (6-2), which just lost at home to Duke.

This Florida State team has shown no resemblance to previous Seminoles squads that have laid eggs against inferior conference foes. Barring major injury, the 'Noles seem the least likely contender to drop a game given their remaining schedule.

FYI, Top 5 Teams are 0-3 in the ACC Championship game (all three were Va Tech).
