Hey folks,

I'll probably have a day off just outside New York tomorrow so I should be able to see the game. Anybody know if there's an alumni association chapter or something with a designated bar where 'Bama fans go in the City? It would sure beat watching it alone in the hotel.

Brother Jimmy's it is. Thanks, Terry!

Contact them before you arrive. They have block seating, so make sure you reserve yourself a spot before you get there. I had issues getting a table a few weeks ago for a BAMA PPV game. If they give you any problems though, just go to the bar at Stout NYC and watch it. They had the games on with plenty of beer and great burgers.

Actually, change of plans, looks like we'll be in Boston. I guess I'm headed to Sports Depot in Allston. Gonna have to bookmark that link.

If you ever end up in Chicago on a fall Saturday, catch a game at the Houndstooth in Wrigleyville. It gets crowded, but you'll feel right at home as a BAMA fan. :)

figures, nothing up here for Alumni. This state is in a sad "state" for sports right now. My boss made me take my Bama flag off my rig today. Jealousy is sometimes a wonderful thing.......

You can always start an local group...here in Charleston, a couple of years ago, we got a handful (as in 6-7) together for a meeting one Sunday. Within a year the group had grown to over 100.

Chapters are easy to get going if you have a good core group of Bama fans...check out the Alumni page at wwww.ua.edu for more detail.

I wish I'd seen this earlier. It's gotta be The Mercury Bar! This is a bar where the waitresses wear Bama cheerleading outfits and they DO watch Bama games! Hit the images button on the site!

The UA alumni chapter changed venues from The Mercury Bar to Brother Jimmy's after the '07 season.
