šŸˆ When bored..visit an AU forum

Well...I did...and other sec team forums..as well
The AU was interesting..
....10 of their topics were....didn't count ...but outta 30-40 on opening page..most current ones...Bama based ...
....The hot topic....Saban cheats and thats how he wins....AU is clean...not squicky..but clean... that was funny..
....the powers at Bama dont want him breaking Bears record...that was a really funny one.
....the ncaa n sec offices coddle Saban .....
....and they are still bitter about Gus's contract ..... and are picked on by the ncaa n sec ...
....and are still bitter about losing Rashaad Evans....and bama paid him...otherwise he would have chose the "family"...
Anyway....
UTs and Lsu.s are also loaded vs Bama stuff... Bama is definitely on their mine....
Most at lsu think coach O is a disaster and will be in last year
UTs ...their new HC is a Bama man...and hate it
Not all on these 3 sites...but enough to make some good comic book reading...
Ok....so i ws really bored...
Ok....now I can go back to work .....doing something constructive...

AUBURN, Ala. — According to Auburn president Steven Leath, details of Gus Malzahn’s new contract is still being sorted out as the program looks ahead to 2018.

Leath told reporters Friday after an introductory press conference for new athletics director Allen Greene that Malzahn hasn’t yet signed his new contract. The two sides are still working through the finer points of the contract, which was reported to be a 7-year, $49 million one.
ā€œWe’re still working through the final details,ā€ Leath said. ā€œI’m still a trust guy and Gus and I are functioning well together. We know the basic tenets, we’ve drawn things up and sent it to his attorney. We’ll get that cleaned up pretty soon.ā€

According to Leath, Malzahn and Auburn have agreed on the ā€œbroad outlinesā€ of the new deal. One of the terms in the negotiation was a new football facility, which Greene mentioned in his first press conference Friday.

Leath said the new contract ā€œdefinitely won’tā€ be fully guaranteed for Malzahn. He added the guaranteed money will be higher than 50 percent, but he didn’t have an exact figure.

I would hate to know that I owed Gus at least 25 million in guaranteed money after the last two games.

LOL... Gus should have taken Arkansas. Auburn is renigging on the deal and having second thoughts after their fan base blew up about the announced guarantee. They have a bi-polar fan base and the AD seems to listen to them too much. Middle of the year.. you couldn't find a fan who wanted to keep him, they were tired of his high school offense and ready to move on, then he wins two home games against their rivals and they switch back and say he is a perfect fit for Auburn and we can't let him leave for Arkansas so they offer him this retarded contract, now he loses two straight, one in the SEC championship and then beat by a group of 5 team and they want him gone again. I am sure their two biggest rivals playing for the National Championship right after stinking up their bowl game helped their feelings..lol

I hope he sticks it to them for this flip flopping shit. Reguardless.. the way Auburn has let their fanbase/ boosters control what goes on. I believe it will really hurt them hiring coaches in the future

The fans probably have more influence than one might think. Volnation shut the water off the Schiano hire. I think it saved Les Miles bacon at least for a few more games. The administrators are listening to fans, and I'm pretty sure they read through social media and these football forums.

Coach Stallings said, when you start listening to the fans, it won't be long and you will be sitting in the stands with them. (In other words, you'll be fired).

Seemed to have worked well for Jay Jacobs. As well as the AD at UT that got canned before they hired Pruitt.

In what context? ADs listening to fans or fans pulling the plug on their decisions?

Wife’s a barn fan and she lost her shite when they offered him the extension after the Iron Bowl. She can’t stand Malzahn and the post season performance only fired her up even more. When she hears this...I’ll hide in the bathroom and laugh my ass off. They were drunk off those two wins and once again failed to see the big picture so now they’ve got buyers remorse. F’em.

An admirable system if what you're looking for is Mike Dubose, who was responsible for a jump in stock prices among suppliers of fax paper. Football programs and democracy don't mix.

The buyout amount is the key to the contract. Paying Guz 7 million as your HC is strong. Beating Bama is everything to the Barn Complex. We're talking about a program that has won 10 games per season back to back once since Robert E Lee was actually riding that horse.
Yea...i think 1988 n 1989 were the only back-to-back double digit win seasons...
And Gus is stuck on 4-5 loss seasons.... dont see how that will change...
