Something tells me that the problem in Baton Rogue isn't as much with the coaching but something "in the water" of that whole state. Literally 99.9% of everyone I've ever met from that state is ... unique. I even remember the audio of Saban making fun of the natives while at LSU.

You have to ask yourself why/how LSU hasn't done more over the many decades while having perhaps the greatest density of in-state talent without any real in-state recruiting competition. I strongly suspect that Louisiana's challenges largely stem from the intellectual/academic under-development of its gifted HS athletes. I also think the state of Mississippi is analogous here.

I feel LSU fans will soon look back on the Miles era with nostalgia.
