🏈 What was your first Bama game to watch or attend?

First TV game that I remember watching was the '53 Orange Bowl. Probably was because it was only the third Bama game ever televised.

First game I ever attended in person was the next (fourth) Bama game ever televised. The Third Saturday in October in '53. Was also my first date. Little girl and I rode the trolley from Woodlawn to Legion Field. Nobody scored that day. It was a 0-0 tie. :D

What was your first Bama game to watch on TV or attend the game? My first game on TV was the first night games, televise on TV. The War as I call it, that Scott Hunter won. 33-32

Rick, I am not trying to say that you are old, but I am pretty sure that the first game you saw in person was the 1926 Rose Bowl game against Washington. I remember going to th train station to see you and Crimson Pirate off. I was a mere child at the time. :D

The first game that I saw in person was at Crampton Bowl in Montgomery in 1953 against Southern Miss. Red Drew was Alabama's coach then. I was seven years old. Southern Miss had a pretty good team, led by Jimmy Davenport, who later played 3B for the Giants for a good many years. Southern Miss beat us 7-2, when we blocked a punt late, and it rolled out of the end zone before we could cover it.

The first TV game that I remember seeing was the 1959 Liberty Bowl game against Penn State. This was Bryant v. Engel (Paterno was an assistant on that staff.) We could manage only a field goal, and Penn State got a touchdown off of a fake field goal, defeating us 7-3.

My first game to see on TV was the Sugar Bowl with Penn St. Wow! What a memory! An even stronger memory was my first game to see in person, the Van Tiffin kick. I'll never forget this. My friend and I rode the transit to Legion Field; our seats were in the top tier ~ midfield, among so many inbred Auburn ************s :flaming::devil:. Well, the barn had just scored with ~ a minute left, so...Well, we were fifteen. The way the crowd around us, both Bama and barner fans were reacting, we started to prepare to leave. I couldn't, however, find my bus pass. As I was scrambling through my wallet, Bama started driving. I gave my wallet to my friend when Shula hit Richardson. When Tiffin trotted on the field, I stopped my friend, and we did what the thousands and thousands in the stands did, as well as the hundreds of thousands did at home. We just froze. From our angle, we couldn't see the ball clearly go through the uprights. When I saw the Bama fans in the end zone go berserk, we did too. Holy crap! Hook, line, sinker. That was it, Bama for life.

My First BAMA game was at Legion Field. The 1985 Iron Bowl. Not only did we win with the "Kick" Van Tiffin, I was on the sidelines because a stat coach named John Bobo was a childhood friend. Later on we used to catch a bus ride from PT's restaurant in Mountain Brook to Legion Field when the Stallions were playing. They furnished the booze and burgers. Those were great years.:popcorn2:

@psychjoe I think you got that wrong it was you and Crimson Pirate at that train station. I was the little boy yelling bring me something back.
My first live game was 1989 Kentucky game Bama won 15-3.
