What one game on the Tide's schedule is a concern for you this year? For me, I am a little worried about Ole Miss.

I agree with this but with a caveat.

LSU plays five conference games before the Nov. 8th game in Baton Rouge. If they are sitting on two conference—specfically divisional— losses I can see a 14 point lead making them resign the game as another loss. A loss to UF and one other team in the west? They'll have more fight.

IF they've made it to November undefeated? That's going to be another slugfest.

Mine is either LSU (for obvious reasons) or Miss State. Miss State because they play Bama tough and we play them immediately after LSU.

Florida is still an unknown to me.

Rick, I think we could play two QB's for at least the first two games, maybe three if no one has separated themselves.

It's not IF we will, it's how often we will—in my opinion.

Saban's been known to do it before. It's come back to bite him in the past as well. LSU had a hard time getting their offense on track in a few games in 2004 when they had Russell and Randall rotating. (That was a different situation in that Russell was a frosh.) In two of their losses, AU and UGA, they looked awful.

If West Virginia's defense is as bad as it's been the last two years I don't see us getting an answer in ATL. I can't see Southern Miss or Florida Atlantic being defining unless we have one of the two QB's just do that badly.

I know my answer won't make editor's choice, but Tennessee. My reasons: 1. Butch Jones is a real coach, not just a place holder; 2. Game in Knoxville; 3. Lane Kiffin prowling the Alabama sideline; 4. Coming up on Bama 8 in a row over Viles; 5. Only so many mattresses they can burn without having an aneurism.

Always the first one. Goes back to when I officially became a Bama fan. I say officially because I was a Bama "lean" during the Harry Gilmer years. Signed the LOI on 01/01/1953. How does "my" team beat Syracuse 61-6 on that date and then just nine months later lose the opening game of 1953 to Mississippi Southern? Not Southern Mississippi University, mind you, that would come later, but Mississippi Southern COLLEGE. A freaking Non-1A team.

It would be the eighth year, in 1960, before "my" team would win an opening game. That would be short lived. There was the opening game loss in 1965 to UGA that Bama would overcome and win the NC. And then after giving up but 37 total points in TEN regular season games in 1966, there was the 37-37 tie with F$U in the 1967 opener.

The 70s would begin with a loss to USC in 1970. The 1975 opening loss to MO could not be overcome, and Bama at 11-1 finished third to 11-1 OU. 12-0 would have been another NC. Then lost the opener to Ole Miss in 1977

The 80s and 90s weren't so bad. Only the loss to Boston College in 1984, and to Southern Mississippi in 1990. Now they are Southern Mississippi UNIVERSITY.

Perhaps the bleeding stopped in the 2000s, with the only losses being to UCLA in 2000 and 2001.

@Ole Miss smells like an upset. Eerily similar to the game @ South Carolina in 2010 when gameday came and literally all of Columbia was on campus. Gameday has never been to Oxford, so I can definitely see them getting up for this one. Plus Ole Miss returns a good portion of their team back and based on last years shit talking they did, I'm sure they'kll bring even more hate after getting their arses pushed in.

Well, just a quick glance at the schedule, there appear to be 12 that could possibly be a problem.
Seriously, the "easy" games could always produce injuries to key positions and that's always a concern.

I think the W.Va. game, out of the gate, will provide some relief (or concern) so, for now, it is the game I'm concerned about the most.
There are too many question marks on both sides of the ball right now. I'm sure they will watch the Sugar bowl and Iron bowl games
a lot!
