🏈 What does Kalen DeBoer do Differently than Nick Saban?

I'll get over it as soon as you quit mentioning it meant nothing and everyone should look past it.

Not to mention it's easy to say "it's one fucking season" after the season and not mention ANYTHING while it's all going on. That was a fucking mess and you know it. DeBoer doesn't get a pass on that one, as no one should. He was paid $10M to not lose those kind of games. Oklahoma, away game, crazy atmosphere, not happy with our performance, but losing that game is more understandable. Vanderbilt, not ok even with a disaster playing quarterback for you.
Knowing what happened as it's been explained numberous times, knowing there isn't a damn thing you can do about it but file it, yet continually harping...

Wallow.

Filing it and not doing something about it is what also allows that mindset to seep through your program and linger. We have no new data points to go off of to know if things will be different. Willing to bet my worth that Saban never simply "filed it away". I use him because he had immense success with that going on during his tenure at the same stop. Part of the reason he left, but at 70 years old there is only so much you can take, and that is actually understandable.

I'm a fan of DeBoer, but I'm not soon to file anything away knowing the money he is paid and owed to manage the current landscape of college football and not lose to Vanderbilt.

By the way, finally going to play golf for the first time in over a year. Hard Labor Creek in Rutledge, Georgia. Gonna play slow and easy and hope for 85.

Bro, you talking as if CKD didn't do anything at all and he's taking everyone's money and not give a shit.

How many spring transfers left other schools in the SEC as compared to Alabama? A solid data point how many others can claim in the portal history?

Mindset, ya say? When you aren't hearing a damn thing from around the program as has been pointed out on...well, let's say a few occasions?

...looking at a splinter in your toe versus a plank in your eye...

Terry, what you're saying is still off-season fodder. Yes, it's excellent to hear, but will it mean a different team mentally? We do not know. Transfers? Hey, terrific. Does that equate to more wins??? I'm more curious if we utilize Williams and he pulls 1,500 yards like he should have last year.

...and I'm left wondering how you have this mindset.

What have I said you call, "off-season fodder?"

Because nothing is factual. You have sources, just like others and it's all opinion. Everyone feels different about what they hear and see. Just like the Fall scrimmage when you get a hundred different opinions on the exact same scrimmage. Not saying anyone is wrong, but it is all offseason chatter, and we simply won't know until Florida State.

Which lacks reason based on what's been cited in this thread.

This thread is a lot of speculation and hearsay. Some excellent sources, some good information, but also a lot of speculation, muchlike you saying Milroe was gonna be in New York. Most likely an opinion of yours, but was that something you kept hearing from a source as well in the offseason workouts?

Not speaking for him. But milroe could've ended up in New York has he done what coaches told him to do ....

No kidding, and they were all saying he was going to be, because of what or how??? It was their opinion after his offseason that they thought that. My entire point was they thought something and it spread. In the end, a lot were wrong. Myself included.

Yep best to state as opinion but not act like it is fact... Bottom line watch it play out.

On Milroe I still think he is one of the best athletes to ever play at Bama. Athleticism does not guarantee QB consistency. I was hopeful CKD/Sheriden would be able to find the secret sauce that would help things click for him. It did not at least on a consisent basis. It does not mean that things will not click in the pros. Absolutely can and hope it does.

What is not factual?

For reality, let's break down the following comment: "...just like the other and it's all opinion." So, a staff member updates his position group and "it's all opinion." Gotcha.

What most glaring thing here is I specifically, intentionally, and habitually add "in my opinion" and "in my view." There are times I don't say such.
