Outside of Auburn’s loss to Penn State, the SEC has largely dominated non-conference competition. The SEC is the only conference with a win percentage of better than 50% against ranked competition. It also carries the highest win percentage against FBS competition and the second-best against the Power Five.
Showcase games are where the SEC has truly flexed its muscle. Georgia beat Clemson, Alabama crushed Miami and Arkansas shoved aside Texas.
