🧑‍🍳 Were you on a "meal plan" when you were in school? What about work? Have you had one there, as well?

I attended a small, Christian college in Nashville and we were required to buy the meal plan. 3 meals a day, 7 days a week. As y'all well know, I am very picky so that was wasted money. I kept a lot of sandwiches and snacks in my dorm room. After dinner, several of us would hit the local Wendy's or McDonald's on West End Ave. in Nashville.
My roommate and I would pool our money together, go to the old Bruno’s out on McFarland and buy a couple of boxes of hamburger helper, a family pack of hamburger meat, bologna/ham, loaf of bread and family pack of cheese, a gallon of milk and box of cereal. We would eat on that for the week, but would splurge 1 night a week and eat at the old Mr Gatti’s on 15th Street, all you can eat pizza for $5! Our meals also included a plate sent by our grandmothers each Sunday. This left us plenty of money for the Strip or for Harry’s and Side Track aka Post 37 nickel beer nights!!

Like that gallon of milf, wish I'd known about that in my younger days would've shopped at Brunos daily. 😁
