What a day yesterday. We had one hell of a tailgate yesterday. Great weather, killed 2 bottles of Don Julio, tons of great food and great friends. Then the storms rolled in, delayed the game, and I had to race back to the tailgate from the stadium to help those who stayed there to watch the game get everything packed up before it blew away. Canopies, tables, a big damn tv, a generator, and a gazillion chairs almost blew across Norman. Funny, when I got back to the tailgate people were holding everything down. Why weren't they packing it up?? I have no idea. But I got 'em going and saved everything. Yeah, that was a blast. :dazed:
I told you guys I wasn't too sure about my Sooners. Just didn't think they'd play like that at home. However, I had a feeling at the beginning of this season that we might lose one at home just cause it gets mentally tougher as the streak grows. 39 in a row at home, odds grow in favor of losing at some point. I could point out so much that was WAY wrong about OU last night, but it wouldn't do any of us any good. I was hoping to meet some of you in New Orleans, but thats all done now.
Good luck Tide fans, I'll be pulling for you guys along with quite a few of my Sooner brethren. That wasn't a "goodbye", just kind of a goodbye to the hope of OU and Alabama in NO.
