He also had some nice things to say to Simpson... supposedly the kid is a class act. I don't want them winning, but he and the kicker (McPherson) are ok in my book. I will add, these reporters, and al.com and their people are the worst about it, putting cameras in the faces of these guys to get audio after games is kinda disgusting. Let the players and coaches have their moment without it being used for views and clicks. IMO, most media should be kept off the field of play and made to stay on the sidelines or in press areas.

I’ve said this before but it’s kinda cool how the rivalry is so intense but there’s really never any on field issues at all between the teams. Not any more than most normal games for sure. You look at the Egg Bowl and there’s a fight every year. UM and Ohio State, usually some sort of altercation. And while the fans around here certainly do their part to keep things uncivil with each other, I do kinda appreciate that the players don’t act like idiots on the field.

That said, I enjoy it when the Egg Bowl breaks out into a Royal Rumble. So I’m dipping on both sides here, but the overall class that Alabama and auburn compete with, and have been over time in most instances, is refreshing.
