We have three ranked versus ranked games this weekend. OU hosting Auburn probably draws the most attention here. Texas Tech vs Utah looks interesting from an offensive point of view (as in no defense, not Big 12.)

Games begin Thursday night on ESPN's family of networks ...

The way the books are seeing Miami and Florida? Part of me can see why. But. Is it LSU, or UF? How do you have five INT's and the opposing team only converts two defensive scores on the day?

Jon Sumrall is one to watch this weekend. Resume padding in Oxford?

Didn't think the Bookie would put up Tulsa-OSU this week, thus the Member Bet on Tulsa. Used the opening line of 14 and I see it is already down to 13. So the real money bettors are thinking as I am; the dumpster fire at UCLA may also be at Oklahoma State.

Thursday and Friday games...I thought twice about the Rice v Char game. But, I'll watch.

Tulsa and Okie State is an outlier. Gundy and the "Hot Seat."

Tre Lamb is another coach I expect to see talked about soon.

That Rice game is the one I want to watch! I think I can count on one hand I have watch Rice play any football.

If the odds makers are right it is going to be a close ball game.

And, let's face it. Anything that is on TV tonight can be watched tomorrow: a live football game, not so much. (State and TX are on the pitch: I might watch a little.)

You didn't watch the 1954 Cotton Bowl!? :D

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"In the 1954 Cotton Bowl Classic, Maegle rushed for 265 yards on 11 attempts and scored three touchdowns in Rice's 28-6 victory over Alabama. Although 67 years may have passed since that infamous day, his 24.1 yards per carry remains a Cotton Bowl Classic and an NCAA bowl game record.

Rice won the game 28–6, but its victory was overshadowed by Alabama's Tommy Lewis and his "12th man tackle" of Rice running back Dicky Maegle in the second quarter. The Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, hosted the Cotton Bowl Classic."
