Oh and it just gets even better:

Apparently Arkansas has officially proclaimed a "Red Out" for Saturday's game. All bets are off now.

Razorback red out on Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE - Razorback Athletics is partnering with the student body at the University of Arkansas to host a Razorback Red Out this Saturday for the Arkansas-Alabama football game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

Razorback fans attending the game are asked to wear their Razorback red for the CBS nationally televised game between the Hogs and the Crimson Tide. The game is officially sold out and will mark the first time two top-10 nationally ranked teams have met in Fayetteville since 1979.

"Our football team, Coach Petrino and our student body want a Razorback Red Out this weekend so let's join together to give them one," Director of Athletics Jeff Long says. "We are asking all our fans to wear Razorback red as they cheer on the Hogs. This is a great opportunity for people around the nation to see the tremendous passion of the Razorback fans. I have no doubt that our fans will be here in full force, dressed in Razorback red and extra loud in helping provide our football team a tremendous home field advantage."

The first 7,000 University of Arkansas students in attendance at Saturday's game will receive a Razorback red rally towel.

On Saturday, a number of campus activities will surround Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The CBS College Sports Network SEC Tailgate show will broadcast live from 1-2 p.m. near the AT&T Trough located north of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium at the Tyson Poultry Science Center. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the AT&T Trough beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Man when will these teams ever learn that this crap don't scare our players one bit.
That's ok let them put all thier hope in Voodoo and Mumbo Jumbo.
Will do them NO GOOD. Maybe we should ask UGA to give them a call and remeind them what we did to them the year before last
when they tired that bullsht. And towel waving??? lol that's so barn it ain't even funny.

it usually happens around midweek of the arky game

when they convince themselves that not only the favorites, but we are outmanned, outclassed, and overrated

unfortunatly some of our fans just incite them, noone from this board though

You guys better hope the almighty Nick Saban can magically invent a pass rush on Saturday that being said I don't think we're the one's that delusional

Not to rain on your parade Rob. BTW, great to see you still here! They should be excited and have high expectations. They should think their team will win Sat. I didn't click on the link, so maybe they do go overboard though. I don't care to even know. Arkansas might have one of the best QB's they've ever had, and I'm sure they feel quite confident that he can shred our new DB's. Heck, if I was a passing QB that played Alabama in the past I'd be a little excited about going up against new DB's with little gameday experience. Our defense doesn't seem to have the swagger of the past couple of seasons just yet. I guess what I'm trying to say is any team that has played Alabama in the past two seasons has more hope than the past two seasons of a potential upset. Home crowd, potential Heisman front runner and possible 1st round NFL draft pick, decent defense and did I mention a pretty hostile environment in Fayetteville? I'd feel much better if I was one of them than the past few seasons playing our team. That's all.

I've yet to see anything from this team that show's me that other teams "have more hope" against us. We have a different identity, yes, but we have the potential to be just as good if not better. I fail to see how the defense seems to not have the swagger of last year's defense when it's given up merely one TD so far this season. Are we going to go through growing pains with a young secondary? Of course...but I think assuming that they'll be shredded is selling them a bit too short.

I didn't say anything about shredded. I guess that's the Arkansas fans. Last year Petrino said his team never really felt like they could beat Alabama. He talked about that right after the game last year. He said at some point in the pre-game/game (can't remember if it was walking into BDS or after Alabama went up by 14, 21, etc...) he looked at his players and knew they didn't believe. They lost their hope. He won't let that happen again. Even if it's the home field advantage that prevents it you'd better believe he will have them believing. Heck, they have more of a chance this year just knowing Rolando McClain isn't back there. If I was on Arkansas' line or in their backfield that alone would give me hope. We don't have another Ro just yet.

The lack of swagger is missed tackles,a few soft efforts on a few drives thus far this season, and a lack of domination. Heck, the little bitty Duke RB got around 80 yards on our D and came close to breaking our streak of no opposing RB gaining 100 yards on our D. Those things drive me bonkers and I bet Saban too (not the stats part....I know he cares about effort and assignment not stats).

All I'm going to say is I think you're selling our team short. I know it was Duke, but I feel we played very very close to the vest in that, and every other, game thus far. Also, I don't equate those things as lack of swagger. I equate those things to inexperience. I'm not saying they don't have a reason to hope, I'm just saying our team is potentially every bit as good as last years team. It's too early to tell. Arkansas can come out believing, but you better believe our boys will too.

With that said, I've been completely wrong before. So take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

I can see where you're coming from, and I know I'm being hard on the team. Some of those missed tackles were by players like Hightower and Harris....not trying to degrade players or name drop. I'm just stating the facts after re-watching the game. They know better. Heck Mark Barron even missed a great sack vs. Duke. I don't view those as inexperience or playing close to the vest. Those guys have to make those type plays. That said, no one is perfect and there will be mistakes. Just hope those mistakes don't cost us 7 at some point.

I worry every game, so this is nothing new. I've never felt good about the timing and pressure of this Arkansas game (year in and year out), but it has been a huge stepping stone for us the past 3 years. Their very best strength might be able to exploit our very weakest link this time around. That worries me. The loser of this game could be out of the SECCG. I know we can win; I believe we can win; It will be a huge test. The staff will have them ready. Roll Tide!

I will say that until someone proves otherwise, fans of the #1 team in the country believing that their team will win is anything BUT delusional. Arkansas may very well be able to score on us, may even win, but for them to think we are delusional for thinking we'll beat them, that's what I'd call delusional!
