Legendary Texas A&M and Alabama coach Gene Stallings suffered a heart attack last week, but even that wouldn’t stop him from making it to College Station on Saturday night.

The Aggies honored the former coach, who led the team to the 1967 Southwestern Conference title and a bowl victory over Bear Bryant and Alabama, during the game against the Crimson Tide.

As you can see below, it was a special moment at Kyle Field as the crowd gave a strong ovation to the legendary coach:

Welcome back Gene Stallings and the '67 SWC Champions #12thMan

Stallings won a national championship with Alabama in 1992, but he got his start with the Aggies.

Clearly, the Kyle Field faithful and Stallings’ 1967 squad still have the utmost respect for the talented coach.

It was great to see Stallings make the trip to College Station, and it was even better to see the reception the Texas A&M fans gave him.

Normally, I don't care anything about tamu, but kudos to the tamu admin. Job well done!

Normally you and I agree but this is one thing we disagree on. I always pull for Texas A&M when they're not playing Bama. I thought they did a good job as well. Wish ESPN had showed it instead of the Holly Rowe questions to the coaches. That's almost always a waste of everyone's time

Does anyone know how to get a possible autograph from Coach Stallings? Personalized of course, not just one off eBay.
Talking about his autograph, I got it right before the 1994 SEC Championship game. My mother was in the hospital in Northport. He was doing one of those greet and meet the coach at Dillard store I think it was. The girl that was helping him told me to write down what I wanted him to sign the items I had. Long story short, I wrote down Coach Stalling, He wrote Gene Stallings. The girl told me he will redo it if I wanted, I told her if that's how he wanted to write it, that's how I wanted it.
