I was reading an article about USC today that again mentioned Jack Del Rio as top candidate for the USC job. The thought occurred to me that it might be funny if Luke Del Rio quarterbacked Bama in a title game against his Dadās USC team. Suddenly I began to wonder, if his dad was coach at USC, why wouldnāt Luke be the QB there?
Weāre all thrilled Vinnie Sunseri didnāt follow his papa to Tennessee and I assume the thought of sitting out a year played a role in that decision. That being the case, are there consequences for a walk-on (like Luke Del Rio) transferring to another school? My gut says because he isnāt on scholarship, there probably would not be anything keeping him from enrolling somewhere else, but I just donāt know for sure.
