Wonder if its gonna end up being 3 horse race next year with Sims, del Rio, and Cornwell? I really, really hope Sims continues to develop and wins the job because I'd hate to see us put a freshman with no experience out there. Gonna be interesting to say the least.

I've heard from more than a couple of people he's having trouble learning the plays. IDK but that's what's going round between Bama fans around here.

It seems like Saban is being kind of Machiavellian about the future Alabama QB...the ultimate replacement for McCarron.

IMO Blake Sims will never be more than an emergency back-up. He knows the plays and is fairly dependable. He just doesn't have championship skills.

Saban seems to be keeping all of the other back-ups on an even footing for a spring decision (maybe even Fall 2014)

The spring game was the only time we have gotten much of a look at the QB's and Sims didn't seem to be in the top 3 of the back-ups.

^^ Sims had a bad spring game but he still was the second best QB on the field... the others were pretty bad. They were all young but still.
