I know I leaving off a few here but really?? The chump from Boise State, the thug from West Virginia and Melvin Ingram from South Carolina. All before Upshaw???
:c004:
I wasn't overly surprised but I was mad that Upshaw because he is such a gentleman and a great person but at the same time a hell of a football player that plays with aggression. I'm not sure what Chicago or whoever drafted the one-down specialist from WV but it was a mistake for sure. Either way Bama now has had 8-first round draft picks in the last 2 years and it also gives the Raiders more of a chance to trade up and get him!
Well he landed in a great spot! Reunited with Mount Cody! Get to play along side Suggs and Ray Lewis!! Courtney will shine!! He will make his money back in his 2nd contract.
I suspect that by next Sunday every question that could be asked about the deal would have been asked and the answer printed somewhere.
If I may, might I request that you ask for some Green Room stories. Or about the large group of supports that were there. (If enough people from Alabama go the New York City, there can't help but be some good stories.) I know that when Delta does her thing in flying the team around, I alway enjoy hearing the "on the way to the game" stories.
Personally, I think that CU will enjoy being a Raven. His personality and playing style seems perfect for them. That Ravens Defense is gettign long in the tooth and CU looks every bit the part of thier Round 2 of greatness.

I'm not familiar with the player from Boise State. I am with the kid from West Virginia and that certainly looks like a gamble. Upshaw, in NFL terms, is a tweener as well.
But...
A team choosing Melvin Ingram a few spots before Upshaw makes sense to me. Ingram was a hell of a DE at USC. Heck, I want to say he had three TD's by the fourth game of the season last year. A defensive end...
There were some surprises in the first round for sure. Color me deluded, but I thought he'd go before Hightower. I am thrilled for him re where he ended up.
Has anyone got any scoop on why no one wants Bobby Massie?

Considering how we watched him during his recruitment, is it surprising to you how little we've heard his name during his career? All I can say is player development? Houston Nutt's tenure at Ole Miss is just a head-scratcher.
You see a lot of people used the term "processed" when talking about some programs around us.
Should Ole Miss be that list? After all the hype with Jevon Snead?
(FWIW, Arkansas this year eerily reminds me of Ole Miss in '09. That, combined with Mike Price, Ohio State's recent example...geez, are we looking at a 6-6 Razorback team?)
