Or my all time favorite...

I shudder at the thought of having to play those mighty giants..with their GIGANTIC VICTORIES over UAB, Northern Illinois and Mississippi State...they cannot be beaten i tell you!

Coach Speak, they can call a all out war. Fulmers butt is in a sling, Alabama needs to just do what they have been doing and give it their all through all 4 quarters and let the chips fall. If we can do that, I ain't worried about nothing UT can bring.

Where does one buy such a large sling?

They've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. Always be wary of a wounded animal backed into a corner.

Seriously.

What do they have to gain?

I can think of only a few things...the main one being a shorter bowl trip. Instead of Shreveport they can stay closer to home and visit Nashville.

OM, UGA, UK? Those teams had something to strive for in our contests.

UT? A good "punch in the mouth" and they are going to be looking for things to make effort worthwhile.

Don't you think that when you're having a crap year like they (and the barn) are that beating your most hated rival can be a single shining point in an otherwise dismal year?

I think Saban has the right idea when it comes to rival games.......Practice hard, Finish the play, Finish the game! Emotions because it's a rival game are external factors! We got no time or patience for external factors relative to the game of the week relative to the season relative to our goals AIGHT! Show some maturity! act like you know it's another game relative to our season!

Sort of like put a shine on a turd? (pardon the expression)

One could easily think that might have a bearing on this game but when in our series have we seen that matter? For that matter, when have we seen one of the teams, coming in as an underdog, come out with a victory?

I understand the "most hated rival" portion of your question and that's true when you look at Fulmer's apporach to this game.

But, that said, when have we seen this years Volunteer team buy into what their staff has been saying? Fulmer himself mentioned a few weeks ago that the leadership a team needs isn't found on this years Vol squad.

I think it'll be an intense contest, for a little while, like I mentioned in the preview. But, I also know if they get punched in the mouth they'll be reeling the entire game. I've not seen a thing in the last few years from UT that makes me have the slightest reason to believe otherwise.

How many touchdowns can you possibly score in a game? 11, 12, 13?

Whatever it is, that's how many I want Bama to score on Tennessee.

Terry you've got a much finer bead on the situation than I do so you're probably right. I hope so. I just can't help worrying about the cornered/wounded animal. Hopefully we put the critter down early Saturday night with a .44 to the head at contact range.

metaphorically speaking, of course!

...maybe...

Oh noooooo, first we had to deal with the dreaded blackout, now this! It's madness I tell you we are all domed. Oh yeah,

ROLL TIDE ROLL

Me too REGER would be a great starting point for the tide. If we come out and just knock the lights out of them and keep it on!

I personal would love to see that, but that's something we haven't done all year. RTR
