🏈 vol suspended for shoplifting

How about that "street cred" Mr. Kiffen? Keep this player selection up and there will no Rocky Block next season since you wont be able to field a team outside of prison walls.

LOL...Dillards.

Dillards is NOT a place for someone to shoplift. I worked loss prevention for them for a while...LOVED my job. They have a security room with 20-30 tilt/pan/zoom cameras and a person monitoring, digital recording equipment, and employ off-duty police officers (and pay them well) in the store to make arrests on the spot.

Probably the best LP department of any big box retailer.

They don't always cuff and stuff if the value is under $300 it is a demeanor and they may ticket and release. They book them if they don't cooperate, or if it is felony shoplifting.

They probably did the paper work and no-tresspass letter, and released him but called the UT AD.

That job was the ultimate job for a grad student. I miss it...they closed the store I worked at.

I gotta say, I love the direction that program is moving in...At this rate, they will be out of scholarship players by April, and Kiffin might have to put Orgeron on the O-Line.

Or that wife of his at "tight end".

Several years ago, some of the Florida State players were arrested for shoplifting at Dillards a week or so before the UF game. A large majority of the UF fans were wearing Dillards bags over their clothes in the stands. It was pretty funny.

you see mark ingram did not fumble the ball against ut. it was stolen from him like someone's wallet on a week night on rocky top. if a victim is too much for one, then a pack of vols attack. this is what i told some of the guys at work after the ut game. since i live and work in tn., they didn't think it was funny. they sure don't think it's funny now that their beloved thugs have proved me right!

Comments from some online buddies on this ...

But, trying to find some good news in this situation........ The Knoxville Jail Football team has had a very good year. Their recruiting program is one of the finest in the nation. Coach Sterling Owen said that if he could get just one more quality receiver he felt that Knoxville could qualify for the Felons Bowl this year.......

I hear they're drafting a script for a sequel: "The Longest Yard: The College Years"...

Been happening to a LOT of Dillards. It's unfortunate that the socialiberalists have made it so hard for good companies to compete in the United States.

My Dillards closed when Bush was in office...along with most of the Dillards closings, the 800 RadioShack closings...Kmart restructuring...etc...

NAFTA was signed into law by Clinton, but spearheaded by Bush senior who tried to get it passed before he left office...that worked out real well for the American blue collar industries...My home town used to have SCT yarns, Springs Mills, Red Cap, and a number of other factories. All gone now. My high school was big 3A/small 4A when I was there in the late 80's. They are small 3A/big 2/A now, and most stores have gone. Clinton tried to add protection to NAFTA to save American jobs, but it was too little.

Yep...its the socialist liberals.

Or maybe its just politicians lining their pockets and business as usual.

NAFTA destroyed the area I grew up in. West Point Pepperell employed probably half of the county till it all moved to Mexico and over seas...area is just now coming out of it and Kia had to move near to even remotely help the area.

I wasn't up on the details about how Kiffin was fired by Davis, so I tried to get up to speed.

Evidently, Al Davis hired this snot-nosed arrogant punk to coach his pro team, then shortly began to question his decision.

Kiffin responded by taunting the team owner, challenging his ability to fire him. "You hired me and I got rights, by golly!"

After Kiffin was shown the door, he proceeded to sue Davis for firing him without cause. Unbelievably, the lawsuit slung crap all the way from California to Tennessee, as the Raiders got UT involved, questioning the hiring and arrangement between Kiffin & UT.

I was astounded by Kiffin's attitude when he arrived in Knoxville, but now that I know more about his background, I wonder how anyone expected anything different.

Here's a quote from a letter Davis sent Kiffin while Kiffin was still working for him:

"Over the past months you have made a number of public statements that were highly critical and designed to embarrass and discredit the organization its players and coaches. I left you alone during training camp, the implication when you were doing these things, in the hopes you would cease your immature and destructive campaign. I wanted to make this work. ...

Your actions are those of a coach looking to make excuses for not winning, rather than of a coach focused on winning. "

The UT fans felt obliged to back Fulmer no matter what came out about his obsession with Bama. They had to be embarrassed, but couldn't admit it.

And now they get to defend Kiffin.:nana:;)

Couldn't hasppen to a more deserving fan base.
