So, who else is just absolutely impressed with this kid? He came in and played a hell of a game, and made some good tackles! I think the future at safety is in good hands! Roll Tide!

Always knew he was a good tackler, and a big hitter. What we still don't know about him are his coverage skills. Seems to be a smart kid though, being that he has picked up enough as a True Frosh to make it all the way to 2nd string Safety behind an All-SEC (possibly All-American) Safety.

He played a very good ball game. It's clear he's a smart, hard nosed player, but I agree coverage skills, and general speed, could limit his role with the defense. Although it's unfair to compare him with Barron on run support at this point, he arrives a fraction later and in less of a position to make the tackle. Time will tell if that's inexperience or lack of speed. From a coverage standpoint, if I remember he played more linebacker than DB in high school, so I'm sure there's room for improvement there, too.

Regardless, I'm thrilled to have him on the team and contributing.

Excellent tackler. I'm just worried how bad Barron's injury is. He just cant catcha break in the Iron Bowl the last cpl years it seems.

Vinnie is a ball hawk. We'll have to see if he has the speed to play full-time.

What about Ha-Ha (Clinton-Dix)? I have to admit, I didn't really take note to see if he has gotten any significant playing time. Any body know how he has been doing? I know he's listed as #2 at FS on the depth chart, but he might be necessary on the SS side depending on how fast Barron heals up.

HaHa's pretty much only played in garbage time and special teams. Guy looks like damn near a Mark Barron clone to me tho. I think eventually we'll see the duo of Sunseri (SS) and HaHa (FS) as the starters back there. Next year prolly Lester (SS) and HaHa (FS) with Vinnie in the Dime.

They're both fearless and play(ed) like they're 4 inches taller and 50 pounds heavier than they really are.
