| FTBL Video: practice from 8-12

two things that jumped out at me from 8/11's interviews:

i LOVED watching McCoy's interview. dude had me fooled in thinking he was all business until the reporters started to flatter him a little bit. that's when you saw the biggest, child-like smile before an abrupt attempt to return to a serious face.
you just get the sense that he's bursting with optimism but is trying so hard not to reveal it.

McElroy sounds like he would make a great coach one day. his eloquent responses to some of the reporters' questions revealed a surprising level of maturity and selflessness for a back up QB with limited playing time. he seems to have a firm grasp of the "team" concept.

several of you guys have remarked that Saban's personality and philosophy is becoming increasingly visible upon this team. i agree.

I think that more and more when I hear the players spreak.

That was an interesting "drill" if you can call it that, for the QB's just doing little basketball, behid the back/under the leg passes. Perhaps it can help cutdown on loosing the ball will eluding defenders. Nothing worse than loosing the ball without really being hit.

I thought that was a great drill, considering the "untimely" fumbles JPW had at critical times the last two years. Hopefully this will help with ball control.

HAHAHAH!

i love the music in the Terrence Cody highlight video.... the last hit and fumble recovery is hilarious. He's very nimble for a big guy.
