🏈 UT RB Bryce Brown's eligibility is being investigated by NCAA

This is so surprising. I never saw this coming at all. The thing that gives me solace is that I don't believe that anyone else saw this occurring either.

I don't mind missing something as long as just about everyone else misses it also.

the comments are funny - Miami/rivals are to blame for this...sure. the guy was a walking NCAA investigation with his mysterious "advisor" representing him in high school. funny how fans are...they seem to forget about the advisor.

you know, maybe Lane "Kitten" shouldn't have made the entrance he insisted on making...

ALTIE, I'm as surprised as you are about this latest turn of events. Don't all high school kids today employ a pimp...er,.. I mean......mentor to hold schools hostage and run websites making money for the pimp and player by charging coaches for access to said player? I mean really? :lance:

The odd thing, Chop, is that there was never any thing that really, really stood out about Bryce Brown. I mean, this isn't the 1980's, players are going to have professional representation.

This whole situation with BB is just hilarious and beyond funny.

I can't believe all of that about the website. He and his family and his butler must all be kooky.

They're not kooky, they're greedy. Or Bryce is greedy. Or maybe it's just his .......MENTOR.... that is greedy.

Whatever. They all benefited from it, so they all must hang! I say that only half-jokingly.

Tennessee is guilty by association, therefore the NCAA must throw the book at them.

Ill get the rope!

But wouldnt it be kind of funny if Brown's desire for attention in the recruiting process ended up ruining any possible career before it started?

It would serve as a harsh example to all other athletes who may consider taking advantage of the recruiting process.

I thought this kid would wind up being bad news for any program that signed him due to his "mentor". I said it before signing day that any school with half a brain should stay away. I guess that proves that Kiffin and Co. don't have any brains at all.

OK, I need to find the "dripping with sarcasm" emoticon and get it uploaded here as well...

Don't get your hopes up. I expect a few games suspension for Bryce and nothing for UT, aside from the loss of a top recruit from a few games. I hope it is more, but just have a feeling it will be minor.

Why would there just be a suspension? Seems to me this is like the Oklahoma case where the guy is ineligible because he played semi- pro ball(recieved benefits). Brown is either ineligible because he received benefits, or he is eligible because he didn't receive benefits.

I believe the thing with the OU LB is that he participated after his 21st birthday which would kill his amatuer status. With the Brown kid, he hasn't reached that age yet. I knew this kid was bad news considering all of his baggage with his handler/mentor/pimp.
