🏈 UT game sound system critique

It is said that the new Distributed Sound must be tweeked weekly until it is right.

How is it coming and how does it compare/sound to the old Clustered Sysytem? I can tell you that it and the song being played repeated while the head phone deal was worked out received comments from a CBS commentator.

I remember Verne commenting on the one that sounds like some techno crap, saying he could live without ever hearing that tune again, which is amazing that he remembers hearing it the last time:lol:

I like the new sound system alot. With speakers located throughout the stadium you have zero lag for the audio to reach your ears. A lot less echo.

You mean "Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation? Yeah, they really need to stop playing that garbage. Rob/White Zombie has never done Electronica, BTW.

The sound system has finally gotten the kinks worked out IMO. Its sounds much better! The songs they play EHH maybe not so much

I agree with Lenny... It sounds better. I will say though, that I've sat in a different area every game (east side, west side, and south endzone)... that fist game from the south endzone it sounded horrible though. Very fuzzy.

I have spoken with a half of a dozen or so people today and to a person they were all high on the sound system yesterday.

However, it was more about the PA blasting every time the UT band tried to play Rocky Top.

When it was first mentioned to me last night, but two or three more by the way, I started thinking about it. So, this morning while watching the game again I realized...I only heard that damn song one time yesterday.

I wish they had blasted some music when our own band played, I'm a Redneck Woman at halftime... what a freaking embarrassment. Ken Ozello, do the right thing, go away.

What's worng with "Kernkraft 400" ? It gets people fired up, its a great stadium anthem. Oh, you guys want them to play Sweet Hoem Alabama over and over and over. And yet some are embarrassed by "Redneck Woman".

Granted its becuase we don't have any speakers behind us yet. we get 3 echos. I know it will sound great next year though

What's wrong with "Kerkraft 400" is that it sounds terrible & EVERYONE plays it at their stadium. As far as "SHA" being compared to "Redneck Woman"....there is no comparison. One is a classic, the other is....well, just like "Kernkraft 400", horrible. I'd prefer some MetallicA, KoRn, Megadeth, PanterA, or the like for such situations.
