Does anyone know what's up with the letter out of USC regarding some freshman? USC seems to claim Alabama and 4 other schools have made improper contact with a freshman that signed with them.

I call BS. Sounds like USC just trying to take a few people down with them.

Alabama has already denied that this ever happened. Kiffin is just a baby

He Said/(He) Said

Regarless of what happened in the past we have since publically stated that we have no interest in the kid, so we are done as far as we are concerned.

As for any wrong doing, it is up to someone else to show that we did it. The linchpin of this entire matter is the Freshman's cell phone. Calls Received paired with the Name of the owner of those numbers should put this to bed.

Without recorded conversations or admitting guilt, this is one that should quichly die on the vine.

I sure hope no one associated with UA was dumb enough to contact this guy.

I'm not beliving it, but I also dont believe we had to "vacate" wins for some idiots selling text books. Because that gave UA a competitive advantage. Geez!

I was so worried I sent all my textbooks back to UA just in case.

They didn't sell any textbooks. I believe it was Mr. Moore who said, "Not one athlete pocketed one dollar." They just borrowed more books than they needed and loaned them to friends, in a manner of speaking. And all textbooks had to be turned in or paid for at the end of each semester.

Now how do you feel about vacating wins?

It's good you returned your books though. I wish I'd thought of that.

See, thats why I hate forums. All I read online was atheletes sold books, and thats what you hear from opposing fans too. Sorry I didnt read the news articles because it just made me sick.

Now I feel worse about vacating.

Well I returned the ones I didnt want. I kept a few because I can use them as refreshers in my work.

Just further proof that Lane is a spineless little prick. He's trying to take down anyone he can. The fool should be happy he can now lay up several mediocre seasons and have a legitimate excuse. It's a win win situation for him.
