🏈 Urban Meyer fired after tumultuous first season with Jaguars

What a wierd career....somuch success but seems to just have a "death wish"
Utah! Florida, Ohio State.....

And take on alow lying fruit like Jacksonville.......n fail ....

But...bet we dont see the endof Urb....in a high level college program...will resurface and have some success....

It will be a fight. Was he let go due to performance/record or because of his activities outside of the team? My bet is that they negotiate a settlement.

It is one he will lose. He was fired for personal conduct, NFL teams have clauses in their contract for that. The same reason Henry Ruggs will not see any of the "guaranteed" money he was owed.

Little difference between dancing closely with a blond and vehicular homicide

Well, No. 1 it's more than that but yes it is very different in that sense but it's also both "conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence" that can be used to void a contract. All players, coaches and staff in the NFL are subject to that policy.

He'll argue that if it was detrimental it would have been an immediate termination. He kept coaching for several weeks beyond the event. We don't know what his termination letter said, so it's speculation. Depending on what his prospects are (not good at this point), he may want to move past it quickly.

He can't argue that, though. That was just the first event. Then the whole kicking a kicker incident happened.

If dancing closely with a blond ever becomes "conduc detrimental to the integrity of public confidence " we have really moved to a different phase in expectations of life...

Reports are that there are multiple reasons for this and some are not public yet. It mostly appears that Meyer was abusive towards multiple players and that he had multiple other issues around the team. That said, I believe that there will be a settlement if Meyer decides to challenge it in court. Khan doesn't want a long legal battle and Meyer doesn't want to have everything made public. He won't get his full contract, but he might get a year or two paid.
