I’ve had much worse said to me, only reason this is brought up is because he’s a college athlete and his coach is a high profile person.

I had a high school kid spit on me and tell me I was the reason cops get shot and killed.

Big issue for Pruitt is that he came out very strong over the way the player was talking to the cops (profanity) Then the audio comes out of him (Pruitt) using profanity and speaking disrespectfully to the cops himself. He looks like an idiot. Then he implies that the other programs he's worked with got special treatment from the police. He has pretty much given the ones who want it the ammo they need to get shed of him.

Where we live...never can tell if a bear or wild hog or other such may attack....

@ElephantStomp , after 26 years in education, I can tell you that it isn't no where near what it was when I started!!! I think though that it does have some similarities to law enforcement. It all starts with the higher ups in the chain of command. If you have some good ones that enforce the rules/laws in place, then it is easier to go to work. Without those people, you start looking for other lines of work or other workplaces. I really appreciate the job you guys do wearing the badge and enforcing our laws. I have several close friends in law enforcement and even some family. I know that it is often a thankless job much like teaching is as well. Thank you!!!!

I have had my share of stupid moments when I was a kid and I have to come to believe a lot of the shite my daddy told me was for real. I wasn’t a bad child like some of the red necks I hung around with but I was still reckless and stupid.
The point is, going through the carry and conceal classes and owning a firearm makes me feel MORE responsible than I did before. Plus, I’m now 56 and settled down a little AND Mrs. Ledge would kick my ass if I got out of line!
