🏈 Update: Kiffin to FAU (Bama OC through playoffs)

Like many others, I wasn't a fan of Lane pre-BAMA (though I never questioned the hire, I trust CNS). He just seemed like your typical privileged petulant douche-bag. To be honest he still does, in a way (it's that face, man, I'm sorry). That said, my perception of him has improved drastically the past several years and I feel like I've come to regard him higher than before. Regardless of what anyone thinks of his personality however, no one can deny that he's a helluva coordinator and QB coach. I genuinely appreciate what he has done for the team and I have no doubt he'll take what he's learned under CNS and apply it as HBC of his own program. He deserves another shot and I hope he gets it and has great success (unless against BAMA). Roll Tide, Lane!
I agree with you 100%. But can he become a better head coach?

I forgot Napier was an OC, but I was under the impression he wasnt exactly impressive in that role.

Dabo fired him as OC the year he took over from Tommy. If you recall, he brought Morris in to Clemson and we began to see their change in offensive philosophy. I'm hesitant to hold his Clemson experience over his head simply due to the head coach at the time.

Napier and Locksley both have that experience.

My point was Napier has been on the sidelines with Kiffin for three years now. He has more experience with Kiffin and this offense than Sark and Locksley combined.

It's my thought Napier gets the nod over those two due to experience and having worked within the system for three years. Sark get's a "co" role due to his experience with how Lane calls plays.

I don't disagree with that, however what are the chances of USF having Houston money? Houston does have a little history (tradition) and we know those Texans have the money.
Taggart was getting a little over a million less than Herman was last season. Their athletic budgets are very similar with South Florida a bit better than Houston. Now, Houston does have about 350 million more in the ol' endowment fund ...

I like this idea of co-coordinators with Sark focusing a lot of time specifically on quarterback development. Could be hellavua combo...not to mention adding Sark as a recruiter...
