I believe Pett's at 425K per year now.

For what it's worth ...

I'm not pointing to the difference in the money in the vein of material things: nicer car, house, etc. though that does apply. I bring it up thinking about his son and considering treatment(s) he's currently involved with (autism.) I don't know much about autism, but I'd think uprooting the family isn't high on their recommended list. With that said, 200K makes a lot of difference in health care treatment.

Availability of treatment/therapy could also be a consideration.

Steady consistent environments really help those with Autism to get better, my nephew has it and it's a constant struggle. Requires special schooling, doctors/therapists, and around the clock attention from at least one parent.

"A functioning autistic" ... I don't know to what degree with his son. Within the last year or two there was a column published about his son, the team, and how that relationship / routine had been helpful.
Availability of treatment/therapy could also be a consideration.
The other day I asked where Creighton was ... today, where's Kennesaw State? ;)

Availability wouldn't be an issue with KSU: it's in metro ATL.

Any care related to medical is better outside Alabama in general. My wife has lupus and she received far better quality care in Nashville than she did in Huntsville.
The Stallings Center.
Dr. Lyle Cain.

UAB does its research on austism with programs designed for different levels of functioning.

A little broad on that statement ...

I understand Pett has been offered a contract with the money numbers really close to what he's making at UA. It'll be a big jump for them. They're counting on the difference being made up with the jump from ASUN to CUSA (2024-'25.)
