Leigh Tiffin and P.J. Fitzgerald.

Yeah, Tiffin missed one at the half that we really needed, but he started off the year hitting 4 out of 5.

Fitzgerald averaged 44.8 with 3 downed inside the 20.

Damn good job by both guys.

how about upchurch.. he has never let up even after taking a back seat to younger players.. he is a true leader on this team starter or not.. after mclain went mma on the vt player and they scored, he came back and put the entire team on his back, and also damn near knocked a vt player out cold.. he is a big part of bama's backbone..

Upchurch running over that VT guy when he scored was awesome. He literally looked for someone to hit.

Colin Peek! 6-6 255 lbs. what a target.

At halftime I was mad at the lack of passing to the tight end. I'm glad they made some changes in the plan. He stepped up to help right when we needed it.

I have to give props to Mark Ingram and Roy Upchurch, especially Ingram he was a stud down the stretch. If Upchurch hadn't fumbled.......but he did a fine job otherwise.

The kick return VT had for a TD...Roy didn't have his lane covered on that play.

A TD and a nice run...still a disappointing performance in my eyes.

I have to ad my CONGRATS in here too for the kicking game. They were noticably impressive...Tiffin, Fitsgerald, Selman.... They out Beamered Beamer-ball.

Questions: How many fieldgoals is that now that Tiffin has kicked in the Georgia Dome? He has to have a nice handfull by now...enough that the Atlanta Falcons might be interested.

I guess it would have been Lane Beard who was the last punter that was "money" enough to not make me nervous when we must punt. P.J.--We remember stuff like this and I'm remembering you as a good one.

Selman snapped that ball and recovered the fumble on the other end. Think about that...he snapped and then ran fast enough to almost field the punt in the air himself. That play will be knoticed by opposing coaches and that will make them commit a blocker to him...taking one from the rush...allowing P.J. more time to improve on that 44.8/yrds per punt average. AWESOME.
