That sucks for UK fans regarding the arrested player. They're 4-0 and have to deal with a bad apple raining on their parade. What is with some of these kids these days?

Ashton Cobb hasn't been a real impact player this year for UK...only has 9 tackles on the season so far. Their other safety really hasn't been either.

Of course, the teams they've faced haven't been able to really get in their secondary that often.

FWIW, Braxton Kelly is the guy to look for in the LB corps.

We've been so fortunate this year regarding injuries. This time last year CNS was piecing together our offensive line, which had an obvious effect on our team throughout the rest of the season. Now that we have a little depth, things are not completely detrimental for key injuries.

Linebacker Micah Johnson, who missed last night's game against Western Kentucky with a high ankle sprain, is doubtful for Saturday's game at No. 2 Alabama, UK coach Rich Brooks said today on his weekly teleconference.

It's doubtful that quarterback/wide receiver Randall Cobb, backup defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin and Johnson – all of whom have high ankle sprains – will be ready to go against the Tide, Brooks said.

The injury and suspension situation is really bad for KY. They are like Alabama in that they don't have a lot of depth. We probably have more that they do.

Bobby Rainey, the WKU runningback, said that he did not think UK matched up with us at all. In his opinion, we are bigger, stronger, and faster. Throw in some injuries on the UK side, and there may be another beatdown coming.

While UK has done well at stopping the run, it is worth note that they have not played a smashmouth team. All of their opponents have been spread / finesse offenses. We will line up with an OL that is lightyears beyond what they have seen, and run straight at them. UK is kind of hard to get a handle on because their opponents are terrible - and their opponents opponents are terrible. Louisville has been MUCH more productive on offense than they were against UK, but they self destructed against UK, with 5 turnovers.

Anyway, I will save the rest for trickle down week 6.

Going into Georgia, I didn't have any doubt we could run the ball b/c off the running offenses they had faced. It's the same going into this weekend versus UK.

That said, if we were shuffling the OL once again I would have some concern even though the last time that happened (Tulane) that game wasn't in doubt at any given point.

On the other side of the ball for UK, Mike Hartline is no Andre Woodson. Tony Dixon, while a good RB, isn't Rafeal Little and that isn't even beginning to look at their WR corps who lost 4 of their 5 leading receivers from just a year ago.
