It's tough to criticize anything as un-classy after you roll a tree.

Surely you see the difference between something the university allows and vandalism? The tree is part of Auburn's campus, they allow it to happen. Setting it on fire and risking burning any of the spectators around is classless.

I'm sure we will agree to disagree but the oak tree aside, people could've been injured.

I have it on good authority that Nick Fariley set the tree on fire while Aaron Murray was under it.

Yeah, I wish he would play smarter. I still don't think all of what he has been blamed for this year had malicious intent but someone is going to get hurt. I haven't looked up anything on Murray, I hope the knee is fine.

He's only had one or two PFs called on him this year. It seems like I remembered more. Maybe there were just a few hits that stick in my mind that I thought should've been flagged.

A member over at AUF said her boyfriend works at a bar down the street from Toomer's (now I sound like an ESPN reporter!) and the person responsible for this had a very, very rough night. There were some arrests last night, I don't know for sure if the guy that started the fire was among them. From what I gather, the dude got the absolute hell knocked out of him.

Bingo! Its got to be one of the worst "traditions" in cfb. No wonder Alabamians get such negative stereotypes nationally. We give them the ammo they need.

Growing up, I always rolled other people's yards. I always thought you were getting a little payback at someone. Rolling my own parents' yard would've been STUPID!! Not only would I have to clean it up but I would've gotten my AZZ beat for it!! A school that I coached at practices this "tradition" of rolling the OAK in front of the school after beating their rival. I have always thought it was lame!!
