The proposal was in the fall of 2011. I want to say it was September. AT that time cost was estimated at 75million, 60 of that coming through bonds and 15 through private donations. At the time it was presented to the BOT they didn't have the 15 million.

As I recall, they had around 7 of the 15 pledged.

They didn't approve Jimbo so the rest has, is, and will fall on the BOT.

I don't remember what the deal was with Jimbo because I have even less interest in that program than their student body and alumni.

For anyone who did not realize it, those were not facts I was posting. Those were the "facts" as folks are presenting them elsewhere. You will constantly hear how the stadium was denied even though it was already funded by donations and how attendance was some of the best in C-USA. Neither of those represents a fact, just a piece of some info that has been twisted.

They will always bitch that the BOT shot down Jimbo because we wanted him here as an OC. If they had gotten Jimbo, in their great delusion, he would still be there and winning games like he has at F$U. Guess the silly bastards think he would have won them a Natty too! If he had been hired, the first time he won 6-8 games. Don't think for a second his ass wouldn't be gone elsewhere!! Shit!! He would have left UAB for damn Hoover High and been better off!!
