ROLL TIDE!

I don't get the opportunity to watch Bama softball that often, but I'll tell you these girls put on a hell of a show in the WCWS. Hell, they put on a hell of a show all season. So proud to be a fan of Championship U! Once again, Roll Tide!

I'll have to give you an E in the official score book on your two words.

Finished it.

Great moment all around. So happy for those associated with the program.

Pat Murphy, who just this year had to question where he belonged, has had that question answered about as completely as one can be answered. Thank you for staying Coach Murphy. We knew you had it in you.

Coach Moore for seeing 2, and almost three National titles come from programs that benefited from the huge funding campaign that he pushed (Softball, Women's Golf, and almost Men's Golf). Sadly, I think that the degree of success that the football program is having will out shine the very deserving accomplishment of building a, elite athletic department. Thanks Coach Moore.

Sarah Patterson, who saw her baby (Bama's Gymnastics program) achieve what Coach Bryant's football program did, that is to win 6 National Titles. And mere weeks later her baby (her daughter in this case) wins her own National Title. So happy for you Coach Patterson.

Dixie's Softball pride Crimson Tide. A couple of nights ago the commentors pointed out that Pat Murphy had built this team with GRITS; Girls Raised In The South as oppose to drawing talent from California. Im not sure that this is on the same level as the Rose Bowl victory of legend, but it is worth noting.

Congratulations, to everyone.

It is true we don't have any players from Cali. But, they didn't quite get that one right considering only 65% of our team hails from the South.

It's quite a diverse roster. Just taking our starters we are about as far NE as you can get with Kayla coming from Eugene, OR and Cassie from NY. That in itself is impressive; a group so different coming together like they have.

Oregon, New York, Texas, Iowa, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri...all SO different in terms of culture.

I almost wish we had one player from Cali...we'd have all four corners of the States covered.

Congrats Bama Softball - heck of a season, way to finish it.

A few questions I have.
  • Why in the world did OU sit in the dugout while Bama was stealing their mojo?
  • Did any of the OU sports show up to support the softball team (I know its summer and school is out) - Norman is practically part of OKC.

I just hate I missed the end (and the comeback). I fell asleep as the game didn't even start till it was passed my bedtime.

I saw the link on ESPN3 this morning.

As to what Tommy tweeted, according to the TV guide it's on at 4:30 and they've got the NBA draft combine tonight.

To bad the lockout did stay on all season. I'm so dang tired of turning on ESPN and sports radio and all you see/hear is NBA talk.
